Jaguar - E-Type 4.2L Series 2 Roadster / Cabriolet - NO RESERVE - 1970

Don’t miss this opportunity and become the new owner of this timeless classic Jaguar E-type! This is a NO RESERVE PRICE auction. 3 Generations of the Jaguar E-type (Jaguar XK-E) were built between 1961 and 1974. The E-type meant a revolution in the design, performance and control of sports cars. The Jaguar E-type holds first place on the list of top sports cars of the 1960s. The Series II was manufactured from 1969 to 1971 and has headlights without glass covers (the lights of the series 1 had problems with steam), a rear bumper folded around the back, relocated and larger indicators, rear lights relocated to below the rear bumper, improved cooling with a larger radiator grille and improved brakes. The interior was also redesigned. It was fitted with new control levers, more comfortable seats and optional air conditioning and power steering. This Jaguar is partly in restored condition (engine and transmission are original, so this is a matching numbers car). The vehicle starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears, idles nicely at 900 rpm and brakes properly. This Jaguar features beautiful wire wheels and nice chrome. The car was recently fitted with new paintwork (October 2019, in the Netherlands) in the original colour ‘Sable’ and the Jaguar also has new whitewall tyres (0 km) and a new soft-top (November 2019). The Jaguar is therefore in a very neat condition, as depicted. The interior is also very neat and the car has a wooden sports steering wheel and manual transmission. These Jaguar E-type convertibles are starting to increase in value, especially a Jaguar E-type convertible from the first or second series is becoming increasingly difficult to find. So don't wait too long and seize this opportunity to become the owner of this wonderful classic.
