Some information about the artist: 
Nunziante was born in Naples in 1956 and experimented with oil painting when he was only eight years old. In 1983 America knew Nunziante’s works at the Artexpo of New York and Los Angeles. In 1990 Tokyo hosted his solo exhibition. In 1991 he was again in New York and in 1992 in Florence. In 1996 he participated in the exhibition “Il Valore della Figura” with two works among the Italian greatest artists of the 20th century: Bueno, Cascella, De Chirico, Guttuso, Modigliani, Morandi, Marino Marini, Severini and Sironi. The new millennium was welcomed by Nunziante with “Dimensioni Parallele”, exhibited in 2001 at the Bossuet-Meaux museum in Paris in the exhibition “Hommage à l’île des morts” alongside works by Salvador Dalí and Max Ernst. This was also the decade of great confirmations, successes and awards: he exhibited in New York, Philadelphia, London, Paris, Miami and Prague.

2009 was the year of great anthological exhibitions in the museums of Turin and Rome, of the Beverly Hills exhibition “Metaphysical & Surrealism” with Dalí, Ernst, Tanguy and Delvaux, of the record prices achieved at Sotheby’s Milan auctions in May and November. But it was the year 2011 to consecrate him thanks to the exhibition “Nunziante dal Caravaggio” in Castel Sismondo, where Nunziante was inspired by and confronted “Saint Francis of Assisi in Ecstasy”. A personal stop at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome and then Genoa at Palazzo Ducale near Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet, Turner, Kandinsky, Wyeth and Homer. The works of the four major exhibitions of 2011 are considered among the most important ones in the master’s career. These masterpieces conquered the city of New York with the great solo exhibition of 2012 in Soho entitled “Works”.

On the occasion of the year of Italian Culture in America, five major works were exhibited at the headquarters of the Italian Consulate in New York until June 2013. Two important successes marked 2013: the record prices at Sotheby’s New York, with the oils “Progetto per un viaggio ancora possibile” and “Atelier sul mare”, and a prestigious solo exhibition in Dubai at the Capital Club.

2014 started with an international group exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Turin, with De Chirico, Warhol, Casorati, Boetti, Savinio, Hirst, Schifano, Baj, Rotella, Chia and Botero, which was followed by two important anthological exhibitions, one at Palazzo Medici Riccardi of Florence, at the same time as Maggio Fiorentino, and one at Palazzo Panichi of Pietrasanta, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Michelangelo Buonarroti’s death. In 2015 he took part in the traveling international group exhibition “Imago mundi” at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, which was also organised at Palazzo Cini as part of the Venice Biennale. In the meantime, the Casa del Mantegna of Mantua hosted “Magnifico”, an exhibition event that opened the “Avanguardia Rinascimentale” project with recent works by the master. During the opening, the medal of the President of the Republic was given to Nunziante by the Accademia della Torre of Carrara.

2015 continued with the exhibition “De Chirico, Nunziante: oltre le apparenze” at Palazzo Mathis in Bra, and with the exhibition “From Picasso to Nunziante” at the Centre of Modern Art Site Oud Sint-Jan in Bruges. This exhibition aroused a strong interest in the director of the Bruges museum, who declared his willingness to include master Nunziante in a group exhibition for 2016, with Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. In February 2016, the “Rinascimento Contemporaneo” event was held in the Polirone monastic refectory Matilde di Canossa.

On 22 June 2016 a solo exhibition was held at the Pall Mall Gallery in London.

The Picasso-Miró-Nunziante exhibition, curated by the exhibition commissioner Jean-Christophe Hubert, was opened on 27 June 2016 at the Oud Sint-Jean XPO Bruges museum in Belgium. On 31 May 2017, at the Oud Sint-Jean XPO Bruges museum in Belgium, Her Royal Highness Princess Léa of Belgium opened the exhibition “Sur Les Traces de Leonard de Vinci”, in the middle of the exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci - The inventions of a genius” and “Penser l’image et peindre la pensée”. The exhibitions were curated by Jean-Christophe Hubert, and included more stages in the major world capitals. On 27 October 2017, during the great event “Portraits du XXe Siécle - De Picasso à Bacon”, a room was dedicated to Nunziante with 10 unpublished works.
From 14 December 2017 the second stage of the tour “Sur Les Traces de Leonard de Vinci ” was opened at the UNIQ Museum of Istanbul.

The Italian Embassy in Brussels hosted Nunziante’s solo exhibition with 12 works on the occasion of the Italian Republic Day.

“Leonardo da Vinci - The inventions of a genius” continued his worldwide journey, with 28 works by Nunziante integrated in the event at the museum La Sucriére of Lyon from 13 September 2018 to 13 January 2019.

At the same time as the Leonardo tour, he exhibited his 28 works in Istanbul at the Unique Museum between October and December 2018 near those by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.
