Twenty-seven linoleum gouges from an old school in Eindhoven (NL) where they were used during the manual lessons.
There are 140 gouges in 4 different versions.
By removing the cap and then hitting the pin on the table, the gouge comes loose.
By carving pieces out of a plate of linoleum, a negative is created.
By smearing this with ink, one had a stamp.
Not all gouges are still sharp and some caps are loose.
However, the whole has a nice collector’s value or can still be used.
Beautiful piece of nostalgia from earlier school days.
Produced in Germany. (Stands on the inside of the cap.)
