The "Antico Caffè Greco" located in via Condotti, Rome, a historic-landmark 1760 bistrot, fears closure. These memorable coffee cups are still listed on their online store, at 156 euros, a value of over 300 Euros for the pair, but have been out of stock for a while. The famous Tazza Caffè Centenario, manufactured based on the original model, owned by Antico Caffè Greco srl were hand decorated at the legendary Richard-Ginori Doccia factory (Florence, Italy), founded in 1735 by Marquis Carlo Ginori. This cup in fine Italian porcelain, was commissioned to Ginori for the commemoration of the centenary, since 1760. The lot consists of two large coffee cups with matching saucers. Dimensions: CUP height 6.5 cm, diameter 8 cm, weight 135 g. SAUCER height 2.5 cm, diameter 12 cm, weight 98 g. Overall height of cup placed on saucer 7.5 cm. Lot overall weight 466 grams. New and flawless, as per photos. The Ginori brand is visible on the bottom of each single piece. The orange and gold colours are clear and bright.
