Mordecaï Moreh (in Hebrew: born 15 November 1937 Baghdad) is a Franco-Israeli engraver and painter of Iraqi origin

Mordecaï Moreh comes from a well-off Jewish family. After his teenage years in Iraq were interrupted by the Farhud during World War II, he emigrated to Israel at the age of 14. He studied at the Bezalel School of Fine Arts, then at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts before settling permanently in Paris in 1962.

As a drypoint engraver, his favourite theme is a bestiary of mythical animals, most often represented wounded, crucified, to denounce the cruelty and injustice of man. He also uses mixed media and paints in tempera with several coats of oil paint, in the style of the old masters. His life and his work are also marked by an incessant spiritual search.
