Jan Wierix -Genezing van een blinde

Johannes Wierix was a southern Dutch engraver, draftsman and publisher. He created a diverse and refined oeuvre, both his own designs and engravings for artists from home and abroad. His pen drawings in miniature were highly appreciated. He and his family played an important role in the spread of Dutch art across Europe.

Annotations in pencil of the art dealer at the bottom: among other things, second version of this second edition.
Important print from the Romanist period due to the spread of Roman antiquity (architecture at the back of the print)
and the sense in classical proportion canons and formal language.
