David Messina is an Italian cartoonist and comic book teacher.

He began working mainly in the field of illustration of role-playing games. 

In 2003 he made a series of erotic volumes for the French, Spanish and US markets (Sally Potter, The Big Pervert, The “X” Factor). 

Then he worked for the main American publishers: Devil’s Due (Voltron and G.I. Joe Frontline), IDW Publishing (Angel, Doyle, Star Trek), Bad Robots and Orci & Kurtzmann production (making the first miniseries of the trilogy of Star Trek related to the new film by J.J. Abrams), DC Comics (Catwoman, Wonder Woman) and Marvel (Uncanny Xmen, Iron Heart, Cloack & Dagger).
