Sold at the time as one of the better cassette decks.
This Philips Cassette deck N 2521 was sold in 1977 as a HiFi recorder.
The deck works, plays and records. 
The heads have been cleaned and de-magnetised.

Description:
N2521 – Hifi/stereo - cassette deck. Suitable for chromium dioxide, ferrochrome and low-noise cassettes with automatic or manual changeover of electronic circuits. Stereo and mono recording and display of all compact cassettes and music cassettes, including dolby cassettes. Tacho-regulated engine speed with hysteric friction for very even tape regulation. Switchable DNL and Dolby-B noise suppression. Automatic tape stop with decoupling of the push buttons. Separate controls per channel at recording and playback through headphones. Two floodlit peak-reading meters with LED indication upset. Tape course indication. Electronically operated touch keys for tape (magno-control). Post fading possibility by means of slider with lock. Switchable FM pilot tone-suppression filter. Mono/stereo-switch. Three-digit counter with zero position. Head-cleaning indicator. Hydraulically damped cassette-ejector. Illuminated cassette holder. Connections for two microphones and for headphones, all on the front. Continuous adjustable output for line.
