Gouda earthenware plate, with an image of a tree in a pot and a ribbon with the inscription: 'De Oranjeboom'. To the left is an image of a group of people with a reddish-brown flag. The image on the right-hand side of the plate depicts a group of armed soldiers in uniform with a Dutch flag. The commemorative plate has the following text: ‘REVOLUTIE NOVEMBER 1918, Er is in 't land geen grooter kwaad, Dan dat de een den ander slaat.’ On the back is a hallmark: ‘FWAS No. 583’.

Troelstra's mistake was a futile call for a socialist revolution in the Netherlands in November 1918. The attempt lasted nearly a week, which was then called the Red Week. [2]
The call for revolution was the result of the economic malaise after the First World War. 
Troelstra believed that the socialist revolution could also take place in the Netherlands, . He was wrong about this.
