In 1952, Elna caused a second revolution in sewing machine area, due to the release of the Elna Supermatic. With this machine, which works by means of loose interchangeable templates, it was possible to subdivide the left-right movement of the needle into stitches. This made it possible to make decorative stitches based on zigzag. These are especially practical stitches such as the stitching zigzag, the snake line, the blind hem, etc.
But not just this! Because it was also possible to automatically control the forward and backward transport of the fabric via 'double' templates, it was possible to obtain any desired motif. Also especially practical stitches, such as the household overlock, the super stockinette stitch, the stretchable triple reinforced seam, etc.
We still find the basis of these machines in the latest machines, on the understanding that these are currently often computer-controlled.

This Elna is in good condition, everything works, but it has to be checked before use because it has not been used for a long time! Makes a high sound with tails but quickly passes again.
Complete with accessories and knee control rod without a booklet but it can be found on the internet!
