Christian Plat

Somso - very large, old anatomical model of the kidney, a renal corpuscle and the nephron.

Mid 20th century, Germany, 'Somsoplast', mounted on a large wooden base.

Dimensions: 65 cm long, 30 cm wide, 9 cm high.

In very good condition.

Three old anatomical Somso models of the human kidney, mounted together on one base plate.

This lot features models of the openwork, three-times enlarged backside of a right kidney, a cross section of a 700-times enlarged renal corpuscle and 120-times enlarged nephron, in which the renal corpuscles can be found.

Dimensions of the wooden base plate are: 30 x 65 cm. The height is approx. 9 cm.

These old instruction models were mostly used as instruction material for medical studies and are in very good condition. Only the wooden base plate has some minor damage on one corner.

Will be sent by registered mail. Can also be picked up.
