Bose Spatial Control-receiver.

This is the Bose Spatial Control Receiver that does not seem to have a model number on it, but I believe it is the model 551. 

It delivers 100 watts per channel and has a built-in EQ for the Bose 901 series III and IV speakers. Bose Spatial Control-receiver. Well, Bose may not be known for their receivers, but this is a nice stereo! This is the Bose Spatial Control Receiver that does not seem to have a model number on it, but I believe it is the model 551. It delivers 100 watts per channel and has a built-in EQ for the Bose 901 series III and IV speakers. Bose also made a model 550 that also had a built-in EQ, but only had 40 watts per channel and had no spatial control. The front of the receiver has a fold-down panel to access the controls. The on/off switch is on the back of the device, and if it's turned on, you can still turn the device on and off by touching the Bose logo on the front of the device. The explanation of the sales copy behind how the "spatial" effect worked was somewhat complicated and of course they were really designed to work with the Bose 901 speakers (although they could work with any speaker). Many customers have probably opted for a simpler solution for their audio needs. Nevertheless, these receivers sell for decent amounts of money.
