A superb original plate FULLY INKED (graphite pencil + black ink).

A ‘virtually final storyboard’ , exceptionally entirely inked, which is quite unusual in the work of Hermann, who very often only drawn his plates in graphite pencil.

In this series, Hermann returned to the westerns where he began his career, that evolved amongst the Tintin Journal artists.

A superb Western plate featuring horses scenes with full gallop very well illustrated with a black line on graphite pencil by Hermann, for one of the most beautiful plate of the album.

What could be more attractive than adding to a collection one of the rare A4 plates of creative illustrations, with exceptionally each panel drawn in black ink, that will allow the future owner of this lot to frame it next to the coloured plate N°37 (folded in half) of this very large size deluxe edition.

Superb graphic quality and an appealing lot for any collector admiring the (rare) black ink stroke on A4 sheets by the winner of the Grand Prize of Angoulême....
