This Formula Vee has been in a barn since 1979.

This race car needs to be fully restored. The body is in original and aged condition.

The estimated year of production of this car is 1967 and the car has driven many Formula grand prix races. The engine is the original 1300 cc four cylinder boxer engine which is fixed. With this car are no documents and the cart on which the car is standing is not included.

Formula Vee appeared in the United States in 1963 after a few hobbyists and entrepreneurs commissioned the Italian carmaker Nardi to create a prototype of a small Formula racing car based on Volkswagen parts, including the engine, front suspension, wheels and transmission of a common Beetle. The aim was to create a specialized but affordable formula class through the use of parts from a typical street car. The construction of a formula car on the basis of those parts was relatively easy and strictly regulated; tuning the race cars was allowed only to a limited extent allowed in order to avoid the increase of the cost for participants.

This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Hoek van Holland, the Netherlands.
