This Maserati Merak is a first series 3000 European version, only 630 examples were produced, including right-hand drive and American specification. It comes in the rare red colour with ivory interior, which enhances the beautiful line of the Giugiaro design.

This model is number 612.

It has a known and documented history: it was initially delivered new to Brussels and registered in 1975 with the number plate 41377; then it was sold to the second owner in France with the number plate DHU356, in 1994; it was then sold to Holland in the early 2000s where it has remained unused since 2015. It now has a Dutch export registration.

All previous historical vehicle registration documents are present and retrace the car’s history (see photo).

Because of the owner’s old age, this Maserati has not been used since 2015, and the mechanics are to be restarted. The engine is loose, and the brakes are loose and not locked; no attempt has been made to start it so as not to run the risk of causing damage to the engine. It is a preserved car that can be ready for use in no time.

The body looks very good and the paint is shiny, a thickness gauge test showed no signs of significant accidents. The rare folding key is also present.

It is a very original car with a known history. It is increasingly rare to find such original cars in European version, with its small chrome bumpers and km/h instrumentation. In addition, it has the beautiful rare dashboard of the first series with round instruments.
