An extended Central Russian bronze blessing cross embellished with light blue enamel, late 18th century. 
Besides Christ on the Cross , we also see 5 great feasts of the Orthodox Church depicted. Left of the cross arm the Introduction of Jesus in the Temple, a bit higher the Entry in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, above the cross, the so called Anastasis or Easter icon depicted as Christ descend into hell. To the right the Ascension and the Old Testament Trinity. Above the Cross adorning angels and the dove symbolising the Holy Spirit and God the Father. Besides the cross the three Mary's and Longinus. 
This cross has been made by the Old Believers, a schism of 1666 in the orthodox Church. The Old Believers went on after the  schism to make painted and bronze icons in the style of before 1666.
