Up for auction: Universal MERCURY II camera with rotating shutter and a 35 mm f 1: 2.7 Tricor lens.
The Mercury offered here is quite unique among the standard 35 mm film cameras. It has a rotating shutter.
The rotating shutter was - as far as I know - only used by a few manufacturers.
The camera was produced around 1945 and is in good condition. There are traces of use visible and setting the distance runs stiffly.

The MERCURY II with rotating shutter has the following shutter speeds: T, B, 1/20 - 1/1000. The shutter is cocked by the turning button on the front of the camera. All shutter speeds are working, but I was unable to test them for accuracy. Serial number of the camera is: 145323.
Lens: a good-quality Universal Tricor 35 mm f 1: 2.7. Serial number: 316883. Lens is clear and scratch-free.
A rather unique camera that will look great in your collection.
