Original promotional illustration: Dr Strange by Edu Alpuente

Edu Alpuente worked as staff artist at several Spanish publishers in the 1990-s before working for Marvel Comics and then running his own talent agency. 
One of his tasks was to create advertisement for their titles. It was traditional in Spain to use local artists to produce advertisement, posters and drawings for their sections for their comics. Also it was common to instead of using the original covers, make their versions, because it was easier than changing the lettering before computer times. He continued working and inking for many years assisting artists and creating covers, advertisement and others.


This early drawing is signed at the back in blue pen which has faded a little, the line around it in the photo is only to highlight it, it is not present on the paper.
