Zero Battle - Very nice original page by Hiroshi Kaizuka (1938-) - Half splash page with an exceptional battle scene

Condition : cut edges but very good condition - no degradation to the actual drawings

Kaizuka published his first work in 1957 and already found success one year later with “Kurikuri Pitcher”, a Baseball manga published in “Shonen Book” (Shueisha) 

He created the mangazine “Manga Mania” in which he published his own work, but which also served as the springboard for assistants and other mangaka such as Jiro Tsunoda. 

Zero Battle appeared in 1967-68 in “Weekly Shonen King” and tells the story of a Zero (Mitsubishi A6M) fighter pilot during WW2.
It was an instant hit with multiple album publications; Zero Battle March, Zero Battle Red...

Kaizuka is, partly due to Zero Battle and Kurikuri Pitcher, one of the biggest mangaka of the 1950s and 1960s. His original pages with Zero fighter planes are highly sought after and extremely rare.

This lot contains only the original page, not the albums.
