Javanese dance masks for the Wayang 'Topeng' theatre performance. In nice old, beautifully used condition, special characters. 

Both masks still have the little leather strap used to hold the mask with the teeth. 

Topeng (Indonesian for "mask") is a dramatic form of Indonesian dance in which one or more mask-wearing and/or beautifully costumed artists interpret traditional stories about legendary kings, heroes and myths, accompanied by gamelan music. 

The masks are old and frequently used and have associated traces of old age.
