Original signed Andy Capp Pen & Ink board by Reg Smyth (1917-1998) 

This strip was first published on 20th Feb 1992

This strip shows Andy having a siesta on the couch, ignoring the world around him whilst his long suffering wife Flo talks with her mum about the neighbours making a fire… Andy’s reaction is priceless.

The strip is signed in pen in the last panel has a publisher’s signature in the margin. 

Some of Smythe’s pencil lines are still visible.

Andy Capp is an extremely long running strip which originally ran in the Daily Mirror but was also published in around 700 other papers in 34 countries... the strip was published internationally under names such as "Tuffa Viktor" in Sweden, in Germany "Willi Wacker", in Austria "Charlie Kappl", in Italy "Carlo e Alice", in France "André Chapeau", in Turkey "Güngörmez Dursun", in Iceland "Siggi sixpensari" and in Denmark "Kasket Karl".

Andy Capp is certainly a winning piece to hold in a collection, not only for it's humour but also for international collectability.
