Started writing when Humboldt was 76 years old, this work was the culmination of his life. The first two chapters were published and basically elaborated between 1845 and 1847. The idea for this work derives from the desire to communicate a graphic description of the physical world that he had studied and observed for nearly half a century.

Ex libris inside the spine of the 3 books.

Binding with very slight flaws (see photos). The main ones are on the corners. Interior in very good condition. The consistency of the paper is perfect. Spine labels in very good condition.
