This particular parchment is a handwritten text in Latin.
The parchment probably dates from around 1500.
The sheet is written on both sides. The front side is darker than the back side. This is because parchment is made from pigskin, which is a different color on the inside than the outside.
A so-called elephant folio describes an oversized sheet.
The parchment is in age-related condition. There is glue residue from an earlier framing on the upper edge. Also, it has pencil marks/residue. Photos are part of the condition description.
It is suitable as a great wall decoration!
