Bijna allemaal met potlood gesigneerd

Maria-Elisa Leboroni is een beroemde Italiaanse graficus, ontwerpster van toonaangevende houtblok prenten en Ex Libris. Ze staat bekend als Meester printmaker. 
Haar werk bevat altijd zeer kleurrijke speelse scenes, met olifanten, slakken, clowns dansers etc. Ze heeft lang in het bergstadje Perugia gewoond. Opgeleid aan de Kunst Academie
aldaar, voordat ze haar carriere en haar eigen uitgeverij begon, Xiloart, Stusio d’Arte Tipographica. Ze gebruikt gereedschappen en technieken die gebruikt werden in de 15e eeuw. Ze perfectioneerde al snel deze houtblok technieken, bekend als xylografie.
 
Haar afbeelding lijken op het eerste gezicht vrolijke carnaval scenes, maar door de vele lagen, en kleuren inkt die ze gebruikt in de creatie van haar prints, verschijnen ook subtiele boodschappen over persoonlijk vrijheid, feminisme en respect voor de natuur ingebed in haar kunst.

De Ex Libris zijn in uitstekende staat.
Bijna alle Ex Libris in potlood gesigneerd.
