In de jaren 1960 - 1970 waren de beroemde oranje / blauwe Gulf racewagens legendarisch op het Le Mans circuit. Het Gulf Racing team onderscheidde zich met de legendarische Porsche 917 of Ford GT 40. De gespoten carrosserieën in de kleuren blauw en oranje waren wereld populair en vormen de basis voor deze "one of a kind" unieke Volkswagen T1 editie: SPECIAL GULF LE MANS" Samba bus. 

En wat een beauty is deze Volkswagen T1 in GULF RACING TEAM editie. De basis is de bekende Volkswagen T1 bus uit 1974, omgebouwd naar samba bus. Deze originele VW T1 uit Brazilië is in 2022 volledig gerestaureerd in Brazilië en in three-tone GULF racing kleuren gespoten. Het is geen originele samba maar een prachtige replica.

De bus is volledig nieuw gespoten in de magische kleurencombinatie Gulf "328", een lichtblauw type hemelsblauw, en de oranje Gulf "019" oranje. De zwarte racing stripe maakt de lak af. Er is veel aandacht geschonken aan details, zoals een bijpassend dashboard en velgen met chrome trim. Ook het onderstel, de assen en de deuren zijn in Gulf oranje meegespoten.

Deze T1 heeft de bekende luchtgekoelde 1500 cc motor met 4 cilinders. De motor loopt goed, de transmissie schakelt prima. 

Binnen is volledig nieuwe bekleding geplaatst, van nieuwe gordijntjes, hemel, zijpanelen, nieuwe zittingen, zonnekleppen en natuurlijk het open te schuiven vouwdak. De stoelen (zetels) zijn werkelijk prachtig bekleed met combinatie van wit kunstleder aan zijkant en beige/bruine stoffen zitdelen. De voorraampjes zijn de bekende samba windows, oftewel open te klappen. Zelfs de pop-out zijruiten (bekend van het samba model) zijn geplaatst. Een nieuw, origineel verchroomd Volkswagen logo voorop en originele VW wieldoppen met chrome trim maken dit busje helemaal af. 

Dit busje is geïmporteerd uit Brazilië en bezit nog het Braziliaanse kenteken. Alle invoer rechten zijn voldaan en de douane documenten worden uiteraard meegeleverd. Wij wijzen erop dat deze T1 in Brazilië is gerestaureerd: een dergelijke restauratie is minder van kwaliteit dan een Europese restauratie. Doorgaans adviseer ik om rekening te houden 10% bijkomende kosten (schatting) voor laatste aanpassingen, toelatingskeuringen, vervangen van de Braziliaanse koplampen, etc.

Het busje wordt "as is" verkocht. Het gaat om een privé verkoop, garantie is dan ook niet van toepassing. Het busje staat in Delden, Nederland en u bent van harte welkom om het busje vooraf te komen bekijken. Busje dient binnen 14 dagen na veiling opgehaald te worden.
