Land Rover series 2A Suffix 'D'.

This Land Rover produced in 1967 was originally delivered in Switzerland and then registered in Italy in 1983 in the city of Siena of which it retains the black number plates.
The last owner has owned it since 2007 but hasn't used it due to a problem with the starter motor and flywheel, however he would have liked to restore it. The last technical inspection expired in 1999.

The bodywork is generally solid, with normal marks on the aluminuum panels and various marks and discolouration as shown in the photos. The original green colour is confirmed by the original Heritage certificate. A new original English soft top has just been installed, along with new front and rear rubber mats and new taillights (see invoice).

The engine is the original 271 matching number from when it was manufactured and has recently been started with new diesel filters, new pump and a full inspection of the fuel system and is in working order. A new flywheel crown and overhauled starter motor have just been installed and the car starts well and can be driven on private land. The clutch and gearbox both work.

The interior is in good condition, the front seats do not have any tears and the rear benches have just been restored.

The underbody and chassis are in a nice original condition. They have never been restored but are generally solid. The left and right external supports between the frame and bodywork have now been restored with new side members. See photos on car lift.

The vehicle is approved for 7 seats (see registration certificate). Included is a Heritage certificate from when it was manufactured and a Land Rover technical data sheet, in addition to the registration certificate which will all be delivered with the vehicle.

This is an excellent opportunity to invest in these rare Land Rovers: you can use the vehicle in this condition with its history or you can restore the bodywork at a later date. It is an extraordinary original starting point for a passionate restoration and is an excellent investment.
