Célèbre artiste belge, Claude Renard, mon mari, fut sa vie durant, influencé, imprégné, passionné par les arts premiers.

Au fil des décennies, il constitua une importante collection, intarissable source d'inspiration et de satisfaction qui couvrit les murs de notre maison d'une infinité de formes, de teintes et de sens. 

Créateur prolifique, les œuvres d'art africain qui l'entouraient le possédaient autant qu'il ne les possédait, comme le rappelle mon ami Yves Vasseur dans la préface de l'ouvrage que nous lui dédions aujourd'hui.
Ce livre répertorie un vaste ensemble d'objets d'arts premiers plongeant le spectateur dans l'imaginaire de Claude : ses collections diversifiées, son spacieux atelier le laissant exprimer sa créativité sous forme d’œuvres graphiques et de sculptures.

Ne se fixant pas de limite, Claude partageait aussi avec notre ami Franco Dragone une passion pour les arts scéniques ce qui a amené ce dernier à s'inspirer occasionnellement de la collection pour la réalisation de costumes.


LA COLLECTION

La pièce que je vous propose a donc fait partie d'un univers unique de plus de 300 pièces qui feront l'objet d'une grande vente en deux actes.
Je souhaite aujourd'hui que ces pièces procurent à d'autres collectionneurs, qui en apprécieront le puissance visuelle et rituelle, les émotions qu'elles ont procuré à Claude et à moi-même.


LE CATALOGUE

Le catalogue dédié à la collection sera disponible en format numérique et papier sur commande au terme de la vente.
Un document certifiant la provenance de l'objet vous sera remis sur demande.
