A short shift transmission gearshift for the legendary Getrag 265 gearbox from the 1970s and 1980s.
In excellent condition, as new and entirely complete.

PLEASE NOTE : This lot only contains the short shift mechanism and not the entire gearbox (see pictures of the separate parts).
The pictures with the entire gearbox are included to provide a better impression of the set-up and mounting of the short shift.

A short shift like this was placed at the time for more direct, shorter, and quicker switching of gears. This made a substantial difference.

The well-known Getrag 265 gearbox was used in the 1970s and 1980s by BMW and Alpina in the various BMW types including :
E24 - 6 series, E23 - 7 series, E12 - 5 series, E28 - 5 series, M3 E30,......
