Porsche - 911 SC Euro Model - 1979

This Porsche 911 SC was produced in 1979 (188 hp European model). The bodywork is in the original Metallic Black 708-9-3 colour, in nice condition, it was completely repainted a few years ago and still looks good, with some normal blemishes and signs of use. The car recently underwent a full polish. The interior is in nice condition, as is the dashboard, the electric windows work well and the carpet is still the original velour. The roof was restored to new and opens and closes easily. Mechanically the car drives very well and is ready to be driven: since 2013 it has belonged to a Porsche enthusiast who used it to participate in Porsche rallies: it has just undergone documented maintenance including removal of the engine for €8,900. The original gearbox has been completely redone to new, an engine service has just been completed and other parts have been replaced, with photos and invoice. Normal leaks are present. The underbody is completely original, still with its finish and yellow manufacturer wax in excellent condition. These cars had a very effective original zinc plating to protect against rust (see photos). A mileage reading statement is present with the car and declared on the transfer of ownership document, the original mileage in kilometres was also noted at the MOTs, documentation of which comes with the car to prove its original mileage. The car comes with owner's manual and service receipts, two keys, spare wheel, tool kit, jack and compressor. ASI-registered and present on the Veteran Car Club register. A thickness gauge test did not detect accidents of note and confirms that the sheet metal is original. Documents in order for transfer of ownership or export, including Porsche certificate with technical details can be supplied upon request. Some videos of the car, engine and road driving are available. A high-resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description on the seller’s website. Please ask Catawiki. Bidders are also welcome to view and test the vehicle, which is located in zip code area 51039 of Quarrata (PT), Italy. Please send a message to Catawiki to arrange an appointment on site; you can also book a video call from your smartphone. We can arrange transfer of ownership or exports documents remotely. Affordable shipping to Italy, Europe and rest of the world. You can also conveniently pick up the car on site, as it can stay at our storage facility for 15 days free of charge. We recommend viewing the vehicle before the end of the auction, even via a video call on your smartphone (WhatsApp, FaceTime). Please send a message to Catawiki for an appointment. The seller reserves the right to claim compensation if the buyer does not pay for the purchase, which shall automatically be deemed to have occurred with the winning bid and obliges the buyer to make the payment, as per the sales contract available on the seller’s website.
