Ordered new in Germany by Mr  Helmut Rosenbaum, who was born in 1925, the car was with him all his life and was recently purchased by his heir. This extraordinary DeLorean has been in a garage since 2004 when it was no longer used, the last TUV technical inspection is from 2002 and it only showed 52,135 km.

The delivery list and registration date confirm that it was built from the factory in September 1981, delivered to New York to the Martin Motor Sales dealer, purchased and shipped to Germany where it was registered in September 1982 (see photos).

The stainless steel body is very well preserved and has no rust, the doors open and close and the bumpers have just been restored with the original paint formula, all the original details are present.

The engine runs free and the brakes are not locked, however the car is not running and a full service due to the long standstill needs to be done, the tyres are also very old.

The interior is extraordinarily well preserved, in the original black leather, and has just had a full care and cleaning treatment;

The underbody has never been restored and some work may be required as is normal for this model, but its last 20 years have been spent in the garage.

The provenance of the car is present with some period photos, the original booklet and old invoices and receipts documenting the original mileage, as well as the two keys. 

A rare collector's car and an opportunity for an investment DeLorean with all the accoutrements, known history and version with manual gearbox and European details.
