A nice blue and white dish with floral design.

Captain Michael Hatcher, and his team recovered the Nanking Cargo shipwreck in 1985. The ship called Geldermalsen, which was a Dutch East India Company, sank in the South China Sea after it struck a reef on its return from the Netherlands, on January 3rd in 1752. The cargo consisted of tea, raw silk, textiles, gold, dried wares, groceries, lacquer and a massive trove of blue and white porcelain and claimed the lives of eighty crew members.

The Nanking Cargo, was originally potted in China’s Jiangzi province and sold by Christie's Amsterdam on 28th April – 2nd May 1985. Complete with Christie's Auction stickers which are affixed.
