Voormalige PTT pakketweegschaal / pakketweger van de historische Britse firma salter
Specifiek gemaakt voor het Nederlandse bedrijf  (Staatsbedrijf der Posterijen, Telegrafie en Telefonie) Ptt.
De brocante weegschaal  kan tot 20 kg grove weging aangeven.
De donkergrijze coating geeft het een mooie industriële/ vintage look. 
Onder de schaalverdeling zijn diverse serienummers te zien en op de bodemplaat  zijn de patent nummers te vinden. ( zie foto,s)

Salter’s werd eind 1700 opgericht in Bilston, Engeland, door Richard Salter. In 1897 vond Salter de eerste persoonlijke weegschaal uit. Salter zette zich ook in om producten te maken die esthetisch aantrekkelijk zijn. 1760: Oprichting van Salter Houswares in het Engelse dorp Bilston. 1825: Richard Salter begon met het vervaardigen van ‘pocket steelyards’.1825: George Salter heeft de firma overgenomen en noemde het ‘George Salter & Co. Hij opende een volledige ingerichte bedrijf in het dorp West Bromwich en begon met het vervaardigen van weegschalen.
