HISTORY/OVERVIEW
the Fiat 126 was presented on 1 November 1972 at the Turin Motor Show, with the task of replacing the "500", of which it completely adopted the mechanical layout. Among the most important technical innovations were the synchronized gearbox and increased dimensions of the bodywork which allowed for greater habitability, higher performance and greater safety features.

This Fiat 126 is a first series produced in 1973, with chrome bumpers and original color and engine.

EXTERNAL
The bodywork in the "Moss green" color is solid, it has been completely repainted in the original color, the doors and bonnets open and close easily and a polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed. A feeler gauge test revealed no significant incidents.

The underbody is preserved and consistent with the state of use, the last technical inspection passed in September 2023 revealed no defects and since then it has always lived in a sheltered dry garage.

INTERNAL
The interior is new two-tone and has just been restored by the previous owner

MECHANICS
Mechanically, the car has had a restoration and mechanical service of normal maintenance parts and the technical check passed in September 2023 revealed no defects, the car drives pleasantly.

This very first version of the Fiat 126 is quite rare today also because in the past many were demolished to use the 595ccc engine and gearbox in the development of the "Abarth" replicas of the Fiat 500, today they are appreciated cars and an excellent investment
