Elegante sedia Savonarola degli artigiani falegnami italiani in legno.
Realizzata nella seconda metà del XX° secolo in Italia.

Trattasi di un elegante sedia, modello "Savonarola", chiudibile, come un libro, in legno, costituita da elementi incurvati a serpentina e incrociati ad X, con schienale e braccioli; dalle forme decorative interamente intagliate a mano.

Il termine Savonarola deriva dal nome di Girolamo Savonarola (1452 - 1498), al cui tempo risalirebbe la sedia di questo tipo ancora conservata nella sua cella presso il convento di San Marco a Firenze, nel quale visse dal 1482 alla morte.
