Wanneer je denkt aan tijdloze elegantie in de wereld van cabriolets, zal de 1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible 5.3L V12 zeker hoog in de lijst staan. Dit is geen gewone auto; dit is een stukje geschiedenis op wielen. De Jaguar XJS is een model dat zijn sporen heeft verdiend in de autowereld. Deze auto is de belichaming van Britse luxe en vakmanschap, gecombineerd met krachtige prestaties die je het gevoel geven dat je zweeft over de weg.

Het model volgde zijn voorganger, de Jaguar E-Type, op en bleef trouw aan de lange traditie van prachtig vormgegeven cabriolets. De 1991 XJS Convertible onderscheidde zich door zijn verfijnde stijl, krachtige prestaties en luxueuze interieur.

Onder de motorkap van deze XJS bevindt zich een 5.3-liter V12-motor. Deze motor staat bekend om zijn soepele vermogensafgifte en indrukwekkende prestaties. Met een vermogen van 291 pk voel je de kracht en souplesse van de V12 bij elke rit. Wat de XJS Convertible echt onderscheidde, was zijn tijdloze ontwerp. Deze auto heeft een klassieke uitstraling met strakke lijnen en elegante rondingen. De zilverblauwe lak van dit exemplaar benadrukt de schoonheid van het ontwerp en geeft de auto een verfijnde uitstraling. Er zijn echter enkele gebruikerssporen en lichte corrosie bij het rechter achterwiel, wat de leeftijd en het verhaal van deze auto benadrukt (zie hiervoor de foto's).

Het grijs lederen interieur is nog in goede staat m.u.v. enkele gebruikerssporen die met de leeftijd verwacht mogen worden en getuigt van het hoogwaardige vakmanschap van Jaguar. Het dashboard en stuur zijn nog origineel, wat een authentieke sfeer toevoegt aan het interieur. De softtop, die nog in goede staat verkeert, heeft twee kleine scheurtjes in de stof die gerepareerd moeten worden.

Bij de auto worden de originele 'owners manual en bijbehorende CD's' van Jaguar geleverd, wat een leuke toevoeging is voor degenen die graag wat dieper in de details duiken. Daarnaast worden twee technische inspectierapporten geleverd, waaruit blijkt dat de auto op alle punten goed is gekeurd (op 13 mei 2016 bij 105961 miles en op 20 juli 2017 bij 106475 miles). Na deze tijd is er slechts 325 miles met de auto gereden.
