The TA-AX5 places things such as convenience, styling and versatility at a new and high level for discerning music lovers by using a completely new IC (ASP = Audio Signal Processing IC). The ASP-IC coupled to a microprocessor puts aside the conventional mechanism that controlled all kinds of functions such as volume, balance and tone control, and replaces it with fully electronic controls for each of the functions present. Lightweight keys allow you to access every facet of this new amplifier easily and accurately. However, the ASP-IC has even more advantages. Because all functions are controlled electronically, the losses that have always characterized mechanical controllers are eliminated. The sound remains unaffected and retains its full richness and range. In addition, electronic control of the various functions allows the designer to move away from the classic layout of the front panel. In the appearance of the TA-AX5, functional design and beauty go hand in hand and the end result is revolutionary styling that is a feast for the eyes. Finally, another aspect is that the ASP IC is placed close to the rear panel, so that the incoming signal has the shortest possible path.

The shortest path is the best. The ASP combined with MNOS Memory (Metal Nitride Oxide Semiconductor) offers a yet unprecedented operating comfort All functions of the TA-AX5 are operated with feather-light keys, including volume, balance and tone controls. The permanent MNOS memory offers the possibility to store and activate two different 'settings' by simply pressing the relevant key. After all, it is easy to imagine that you will also arrive at different settings for the various functions for different types of music, and two memory positions offer you plenty of space to do this. In the TA-AX5, the ASP IC also ensures that the various signal sources connected to the inputs are ultimately compensated in strength such that when switching, each source is reproduced with the same volume. The tuner signal is used as a reference and each input can be adjusted based on this. Thanks to the MNOS memory, all these different settings are not one-off when the amplifier is switched off, but permanent until you decide which other setting you consider desirable.
