Prachtige Corvette C1 uit 1962.

Deze Corvette is in 1993 door Rob Fruithof van het televisieprogramma Waku Waku gekocht van Mr Wyers uit Los Angeles, California en naar Nederland gehaald. Een kopie van de Bill of Sale, met de originele notariële akte worden meegeleverd.

Ook worden diverse oude onderhoudsfacturen, keuringsrapporten, importdocumentatie, enkele taxatierapporten een instructieboekje en een owner’s workshop manual bij de Corvette meegeleverd.

De conditie van de lak is erg netjes, echter geen concoursconditie, dus enkele plekjes en krasjes zijn te zien. Deze Corvette is regelmatig gebruikt voor mooie ritten en heeft daardoor ook gebruikssporen die passen bij de leeftijd van de auto.

Het laatste periodieke onderhoud was in mei 2023. In het (recente) verleden zijn onder andere pakkingen, waterpomp, krukaspoelie en poeliedemper vervangen in verband met slingeren. Ook de benzinepomp is vervangen en is de carburateur gereviseerd. Alle filters zijn vervangen en de olie is ververst en de bougies zijn vervangen. Diverse brandstofleidingen en riemen zijn vervangen. 

Het betreft een “Ducktail” uit 1962 die wordt aangedreven door een 327 cubic inch V8 die 300 PK levert en is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde 4 versnellingsbak. 

De auto is gespoten in Tuxedo black, gecombineerd met een zwart skai interieur. Verder is de auto uitgerust met een nieuwe soft top, de originele hard top en whitewall tyres. De soft top is zo goed als nieuw en ook de hard top zit netjes in de lak. 

Door de huidige eigenaar is er goed voor de auto gezorgd. 

Al met al een mooie auto en een absoluut genot om mee te rijden. Je krijgt alleen maar positieve reacties van omstander, die de auto herkennen als iconische sportwagen uit de zestiger jaren.
