Mary Magdalene, Hand Painted.

Mary Magdalene is revered as a saint. She appears in the New Testament, described as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a bearer of myrrh and a witness to his resurrection.

All four Gospels mention St. Mary Magdalene, with some believers taking it to mean "Mary of Magdala."

The story of St. Mary Magdalene is deeply connected to Jesus.

Saint Mary Magdalene ran away from her family because they wanted to marry her against her will, which is why they thought she was possessed by demons. They struggled to drive them away from her by drowning her in the lake, with only her father taking pity on her. Then Jesus, who was preaching in Magdala, went to her, stroked her forehead, and asked her what she wanted. She replied, "To find God." – so she followed him. It is believed that Jesus only told her all his visions, fears and so on, calling her "My witness".

She alone of all the apostles witnessed the sufferings of Christ, supporting Jesus in the last terrifying moments of his crucifixion.

It is to her that the Mother of God says: "You love him, but know that you must be ready to lose him."

St. It was Mary Magdalene who discovered the empty tomb of the Son of God and witnessed His resurrection.

According to some believers, only she correctly understood the words of Jesus, because all the other apostles are preparing for war, and only she for peace, mercy and forgiveness.
