Omega Dynamic DeVille Ref. 166.145 “Bowling ball”
Here we have some real seventies cool! A square-cased Omega with an integrated steel bracelet and a mesmerizing dial.
We have dubbed this watch “Bowling ball” because of the dial. The blue lacquered dial has developed a unique marbled patina, very similar to the aesthetic of a cured resin bowling ball. It is a very beautiful look with a true sense of depth to it.
The watch features an integrated bracelet, worth mentioning that the watch was water-resistant to 30m, thanks to its hermetically sealed crystal and Unicoc (or Monocoque) case.
This means that the case back is solid; you can only have access to the movement from the dial side. One can open the watch, but it is not easy. One needs to pull out the crown and remove it entirely with the stem. Then, while securing the crystal, one needs to blow high-pressure air into the crown tube. This will pop the crystal off, and you can remove the movement – with the dial and hands.
