Michael Lau (geboren 1970) ist ein Künstler aus Hongkong, der für seine Malerei, Skulpturen und Designer-Spielzeugfiguren bekannt ist. Lau gilt weithin als Begründer des urbanen Vinyl-Stils innerhalb der Designer-Spielzeugbewegung. Seine Arbeiten haben die Spielzeughersteller sowie die Straßenkultur, einschließlich Künstlern und Musikern, auf der ganzen Welt stark beeinflusst. Sein Stil ist besonders einflussreich auf die asiatische und amerikanische Hip-Hop- und Skateboard-Kultur. Lau hat für seine Arbeit mehrere Preise erhalten, darunter vier von der in Hongkong ansässigen Philippe Charriol Foundation.
