Description from the seller
Fine artwork by master Antonio Manna (1952-2022), Tonino Manna debuts as a portraitist and figurative painter and remains so to this day, even if in his art a new tendency begins to appear that approaches the technique of Impressionism. His subjects are scenes of family life, glimpses of landscapes, still lifes, portraits where a deep psychological insight is evident. Nostalgic themes, narrow and dark alleys, street vendors, solitary figures or in groups where one can grasp the vibrant spirit of the characters while respecting their features without blurring their vital pulsations, as if they were scenes from the film Napoli Milionaria, staying within the tradition of Neapolitan painting even though he tends to surpass it. Tonino Manna represents reality with a wholly personal individuality in the chromatic scene that leads him to transform reality according to a subjective vision toward that inner process that pushes him to give feelings and life even to the humble aspects of everyday life. He recognizes in nature an intrinsic poetic quality and an arcane divine message highlighted by a simple, honest painting technique, like that of ancient master artisans of the Quattrocento. we assure the buyer that the item will arrive in perfect condition.
