Ger van Oers

Considering Chicago was the unofficial spring-scale capital of the world, the Pelouze Scale & Manufacturing Company had no shortage of competition in its industry. The company was founded in 1894 by William Nelson Pelouze.
This is a 100% original postal scale of the Pelouze brand. The model was manufactured in 1919. This model is very rare.
This piece belonged to one of the largest florist companies in the United States, American Bulb Co. of Chicago.
The scale is imprinted the name of the American Bulb Co in the base as well as the date of 25 May 1927, possibly the date it was acquired.
Scale preserves the original painting, it has not been restored. The stickers of the brand are also original and are perfect. The scale works.
Please look at the photographs to see the condition of the piece in detail.
Size: 23 cm x 18 cm x 22 cm.
It is shipped perfectly packaged and protected.

Ca. 1919, Chicago, original paint and decals
