We zijn trots om deze prachtige 2005 Jaguar XK8 Convertible 4,2L V8 aan te bieden, een waar meesterwerk van Brits vakmanschap en ontwerp. Deze schitterende auto, uitgevoerd in de originele LHK Quartz Metallic lak, is niet alleen een lust voor het oog, maar biedt ook een ongeëvenaarde rijervaring.

De Jaguar XK8 werd voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in 1996 als opvolger van de iconische Jaguar XJS. Deze luxe sportwagen was direct herkenbaar aan zijn gestroomlijnde vormgeving en de kenmerkende grille van Jaguar. Ontworpen door het legendarische team onder leiding van Geoff Lawson, vertegenwoordigde de XK8 een nieuwe richting voor Jaguar, met een perfecte balans tussen klassieke stijl en moderne prestaties. De XK8 was meer dan alleen een mooie auto; hij werd aangedreven door een krachtige 4,0L V8-motor die een soepele en responsieve rijervaring bood. Dit model was bedoeld om de concurrentie uit te dagen en de standaard te zetten voor luxe sportwagens.

In 2002 kreeg de Jaguar XK8 een significante facelift, waarbij de motor werd geüpgraded naar een 4,2L V8. Deze nieuwe motor leverde een indrukwekkend vermogen van 294 pk en een koppel van 303 lb-ft, wat resulteerde in een snellere acceleratie en een nog soepelere rijervaring. De verbeterde motor zorgde ervoor dat de XK8 niet alleen bleef concurreren met zijn rivalen, maar ook zijn positie als leider in de klasse van luxe sportwagens verder versterkte.

De facelift bracht ook andere verbeteringen met zich mee, zoals verbeterde ophangingssystemen, verfijnde interieurmaterialen en bijgewerkte technologieën, waardoor de rijervaring nog aangenamer en luxueuzer werd. Het exterieurdesign werd subtiel bijgewerkt om de auto een frissere en modernere uitstraling te geven, terwijl hij trouw bleef aan zijn elegante en tijdloze lijnen.

Voor de laatste 2 productie jaren (2005 en 2006) werd de XK opnieuw gefacelift. Deze facelift beperkte zich tot een nieuwe voorbumper met enkele luchtgaten onder de kentekenplaathouder en een fijnmazige grille zonder inzetstukken. Dit is onder verzamelaars het meest gewenste model.

Deze specifieke Jaguar XK8 is een prachtig exemplaar dat in een erg nette staat verkeert. De originele kleurcode LHL Slate Mica lak straalt nog steeds met diepe glans. De auto staat op zijn originele 19 inch lichtmetalen velgen, die perfect passen bij het elegante en sportieve uiterlijk van de XK8. De banden hebben een goed profiel.

Het interieur van deze Jaguar is net zo indrukwekkend als het exterieur. Het originele zwart lederen interieur is in goede staat. Het dashboard is netjes en goed onderhouden, met alle knoppen en schakelaars in goede werking. De zachte, hoogwaardige materialen zorgen voor een luxe gevoel dat elke rit tot een plezier maakt. De nette softtop is eenvoudig te bedienen en verkeert in prima staat, perfect voor zonnige dagen en sterrennachten.

Wat deze Jaguar XK8, die slechts 2 eigenaren heeft gekend, echt bijzonder maakt, is de gedocumenteerde onderhoudsgeschiedenis en de CLEAN CARFAX. De auto heeft een schadevrije historie, wat bevestigd wordt door de CARFAX-rapporten. Deze rapporten tonen ook aan dat de auto nog recent voor de export naar Nederland is onderhouden bij 111,826 mijlen (2023). De laatste (van de in totaaal 25) geregistreerde onderhoudsbeurten is dus minder dan 5000 mijlen geleden uitgevoerd.
