STORIA/PANORAMICA
La Volkswagen Typ 1, meglio conosciuta in Italia come Maggiolino o Maggiolone è un'automobile compatta prodotta dalla Volkswagen dal 1938 al 2003. E' spesso soprannominata affettuosamente nelle varie lingue con un termine che significa "scarabeo": "Käfer" in Germania, "Beetle" nel Regno Unito, "Kever" nei Paesi Bassi o "Escarabajo" in Spagna. È invece chiamata "Coccinelle" (coccinella) in Francia, "Bug" (insetto) negli Stati Uniti e "Fusca" in Brasile. E' l'automobile tedesca più conosciuta al mondo.

ESTERNO
La carrozzeria è solidissima e mantiene il telaio originale, la verniciatura è stata recentemente restaurata e un trattamento di lucidatura e detailing è stato appena completato, si presenta molto bene con minimi segni del tempo e da normale utilizzo. 

Anche il sottoscocca è originale e generalmente solido, senza tracce di incidenti.

INTERNO
L'interno è originale di fabbrica, in generali buone condizioni compreso la moquette e il cruscotto. I pannelli porta e il cruscotto sono originali, come tutto l'interno ed è una bella capsula del tempo. 

MECCANICA
Meccanicamente l'auto ha il motore originale con sigla e seriale corrispondente al numero di telaio come dai documenti. Il motore si accende subito e l'auto è guidabile su area privata, i freni sono funzionanti tuttavia non è stata utilizzata per alcuni anni, una normale manutenzione è suggerita prima dell'utilizzo. Il carburatore è stato appena revisionato, come alcune parti delle sospensioni.
