De draadrecorder was de voorloper van de bandrecorder ,  het geluid werd opgenomen op een magnetische staaldraad. Het geluid was ondermaats  maar het was één van de pioneers van de opnames. 

Dit toestelletje werd gebouwd bij ACEC ( Ateliers de Constructions Electrique de Charleroi ) in België ,  dit was een apparaat dat meestal door andere fabrikanten werd aangekocht om in hun toestellen te bouwen. 

Het aangeboden  exemplaar is  een deck met draad recorder en 78 toeren platenspeler, de draadrecorder speelt prima en heeft nog een originele ACEC spoel, de arm voor de platenspeler heeft een nieuwe naald maar maar hoe deze werkt weet ik niet ? , je moet het toestel aansluiten aan een versterker of oude radio en werkt op 220 volt netstroom. 

Hij zit in een mooie nieuwe houten kastje  en meet 36 x 25 x 18 cm .
