Histoire du carré :
Dans les années 1950, le quartier de Saint-Germain-des-Prés est un haut lieu de la vie culturelle et intellectuelle parisienne. Écrivains, actrices et philosophes tels que Jean-Paul Sartre ou Simone de Beauvoir s'y retrouvent pour refaire le monde. La chanteuse Juliette Gréco ou encore Charles Aznavour s'y produisent. Dans les cafés et les clubs, le jazz fait danser toute la capitale. C'est à cette époque que Jean-Louis Clerc dessine pour Hermès ce couple de danseurs, comme croqués sur le vif en plein swing. Incarnation de l'élégance, le duo brille d'une incroyable vitalité.
