I have inherited this vintage collection of what appears to be Native American beaded dress ware, waist/head bands, leg/arm bracelets and necklaces dating from the late 19C to the early 20C. 

On each of these related Native American Plains Indians items, some parts look very old and some parts appear newer as if they have been updated, repairs or recycled over numerous years or decades with the numerous featured hand made trade beads of old glass, metal, wood and painted clay pottery some appearing very old.

They are all naively and unevenly hand stitched and the cloth backs are very faded and worn in places.

Securing end ties seem to have been replaced at some stage possibly worn out with newer leather, naively and unevenly straight and zig zag hand stitched and the cloth backs are very faded and worn in places showing obvious signs of continuous and prolonged usage.

The superb beadwork decoration is all complete and undamaged featuring great detail and pattern.

The beading portion appears much older in age. It looks like it was originally on hessian canvas, then on present white woven cloth.

Good size and length measuring at 33”inches by 1.5”inches and 0.25” inches in depth with a very good quality weight at 176g
