One of the first CD players with a classic console design. Following the success of the first Philips CD 100, this version was released in 1983/1984, slightly modified, adapted to the ‘spirit of the times’. The design of the lid and the display is somewhat more ‘technical’ than its predecessor. Today, the top loader is not only an extraordinary eye-catcher, but also classically elegant, which will secure its place in the vintage scene.

So if you're looking for something extravagant with very good everyday practicality, this is the perfect choice. The sound is very good. The mechanically unrivalled CDM swivel arm laser drive reads out perfectly, all LEDs are ok and evenly bright - which is not a matter of course. 

Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, eliminating this weak point and enabling further trouble-free operation. Its surface has a high-quality appearance. Silver, brushed aluminium, but remote control, upsampling and time display were not yet available at that time. Year of manufacture 1983-1984, dimensions: 320 x 73 x 267 mm (WxHxD), 220 Volt.


I ship by insured DHL parcel or UPS with tracking. I take great care with the packaging, am very thorough and use a lot of damping material in very sturdy cardboard to minimise the transport risk.
