Silver - Ring - Onyx = Machine Age

Unique Bauhaus ring set with an Onyx and side-mounted machine-processed decoration. (Machine Age).
Made by a skilled master silversmith circa 1935-40, originating from Germany.
Size 20.5 mm = 64.
Silver certification 925.
Plateau dimensions: 1.2 cm L x 1 cm W.
Weight: 4.44 grams

Bauhaus ideas and designs became popular and were quickly adopted by silversmiths in the region from 1928.
Convincing modernist jewelry in the style of 'Nieuwe Zakelijkheid' emerged, which diverged significantly from classical jewelry and was produced until the late 1940s.
A beautiful example is this ring from that period!
