1920 7th  Antwerp Belgium Olympic poster

This poster is the official poster for the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp, Belgium.
In the centre is a male figure reminiscent of an ancient Greek athlete, whose posture holding the disc symbolises the tradition and power of the games.His body is wrapped in red cloth, representing passion and international unity.

In the background, Antwerp's symbol, the cathedral (Notre-Dame Cathedral), is depicted to show the cultural and historical background of the host city.The flags of the participating countries flutter in the background, emphasising the international spirit of the Olympic Games and the symbol of peace.

At the top is Antwerp's coat of arms and a red, white and blue ribbon, symbolising Belgium and its pride as host city.At the bottom of the poster, 'VIIe OLYMPIADE ANVERS (BELGIQUE) AOÛT-SEPTEMBRE 1920' clearly indicates the venue, year and duration of the Games (August-September).

Overall, the poster visually expresses the significance of the event as a peace festival that overcame the effects of war.
